Hello, welcome to my website! I'm the Reverend Chris Hirschy, pastor of Salem Magley Church. While my official title is "Pastor," I'm required to assume many unofficial titles to do my job. Several come to mind: biblical scholar, theologian, counselor, social worker, copy writer, social media director, public speaker, web designer, graphic designer, podcast producer, and that's only a professional list. I'm also dad, hubby, son, friend, mentor... Anyway, you get the point. Pastors do a lot, and we have lives too!

This site is a place where I write blogs and post sermons. Blogs go up on Wednesday, and sermons--which are preached weekly to my congregation--drop on Mondays. I also post to Instagram. There you'll find content similar to what's posted here, and you'll get a glimpse into the life of a pastor.

I have the hopes of launching a YouTube channel. I've dropped the link in the footer. If you like what I write, preach, and post on Instagram, then be sure to subscribe because my channel will feature similar content tailored for YouTube's platform.

For those who may be interested. I'm a proud graduate of Denver Seminary, where I attended to earn my Master of Divinity (MDiv). I completed my undergraduate studies at Huntington University where I majored in Biblical and Theological studies with a minor in Philosophy.
